Annotating failed breakouts without rewriting history
Failed breakouts teach more when the annotation stays chronological. Capture what you saw at the break, what you needed on the retest, and when acceptance back into the range became obvious.
Avoid redrawing the narrative after the close so the failure looks inevitable. The point of the journal is to show where your eyes were when the decision was live.
In the intensive we keep failed breaks as a first-class setup, not a footnote. That framing makes sitting out — or fading with defined risk — feel less like a missed “real” trade.
