Three questions before every swing entry
Before any swing we ask three questions out loud in the room.
First: where is the idea wrong? If you cannot point to a price that kills the setup, you do not have a setup. Second: what size keeps a full stop emotionally boring? Third: is this a two-day hold or a two-week hold, and does the chart’s structure match that patience?
Traders who answer only the entry side of the candle tend to widen stops after the fact. Writing the three answers in the journal before the open is slower — and cleaner.
